AMS Environmental Policy
AMS Building & Joinery is committed to continuously improving its working methods when designing and manufacturing bespoke joinery products.

As a company we are committed to reducing the amount of waste we send to landfill. 100% of our timber waste is recycled in house using our chipper and burner. Heat from this process is recycled into our workshop completely removing the need to centrally heat and significantly reducing our energy consumption as a whole.

Our office paper waste is recycled in the same way. Our workshop extraction and burning systems are “Clean Air Active”

Our spray workshop utilises an infrared dryer that cuts drying time by 98%. Most of the energy consumed by the infrared dryer is not sourced from the burning of fossil fuels. Cleaning solvents used in the spray workshop are returned back to the manufacturer for recycling.

We are committed to regularly servicing our vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and where possible we are using alternative fuels. AMS employees traveling to and from site use public transport. Where public transport is not available, AMS provides shared travel to and from work, and actively encourages employees to car share.

Sourcing Materials
Our principal suppliers have Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation and all timber and panel products are legally sourced.
