In our technological age, as these traditional skills are required less and less in the pursuit of a living, they are coveted more and more for the sheer pleasure inherent in their mastery.”

This was written twenty years ago by the craftsman and writer, Ernest Scott, and evokes the love affair man has enjoyed with wood since its versatility as a building material was first recognized by our forefathers. Yet, the traditional craftsmanship associated with fine wood working, although sorely in decline, is very much in evidence in our Workshops at AMS Joinery. We are specialists in the creation of bespoke hand-crafted quality furniture. Each piece is tailor made from the highest quality timber, to the individual specifications of our most valued clients.

AMS Joinery was initially set up to compliment our prestigious Building and Refurbishment Company, as the search to provide our clients with high quality furniture proved fruitless elsewhere. Our aim to provide beautifully crafted bespoke furniture with that very personal touch has proved so successful that additional premises have been added to the company's estate to ensure facilities and machinery that can provide our craftsmen with the best possible working environment in which to work to complete the growing number of orders we receive to the stringent standards traditionally associated with AMS Joinery.

Further, for those who are uncertain about the design of their new furniture we are able to offer the facilities of our in-house designers who produce high-quality, high-specification individual drawings from which our craftsmen, of the very highest calibre, skilfully hand-make each piece. Upon completion, our team of specialist fitters will install your new furniture, whether it be free-standing or fitted, in your home with care and respect. Following their work, they will clear away any debris and leave the property as they found it.
